BRITISH AIRWAYS celebrates its 10th anniversary at QUIMPER BRETAGNE AIRPORT

Arriving at Quimper airport in 2012, British Airways today celebrated its 10th anniversary in Finistère. The airline operates this summer up to 4 weekly flights to London City and thus offers Bretons the opportunity to arrive in the heart of the British capital.

In May 2012, British Airways took off for the first time from Quimper airport to inaugurate a seasonal connection between Cornwall and the London capital. After 2 years of absence due to a health crisis, the Quimper-London City line will resume service and will operate up to 4 A/R flights per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays) until 4 September.

For the 2022 summer season, British Airways has sold over 9,000 seats to London City. The connection is operated by an Embraer 190 with a capacity of 98 seats and a flight time of 1h15.

Celebration of the 10th anniversary and the resumption of the line

On the occasion of the day’s rotation and in the presence of Mr. Jean-François Garrec, President of Cornouaille Airport (ADC), we celebrated this Tuesday, June 21, the 10th anniversary of the start of operations of British Airways at Quimper Airport. At the arrival of the aircraft, the passengers, greeted by the bagad AR RE GOZ, received documentation tourism and welcome gifts offered by local partners such as Armor Lux or Les Biscuiteries Réunis.

A birthday cake was shared with passengers departing for London to whom souvenir gifts were also offered.

Karine LANGUENOU, Managing Director of Quimper Bretagne Airport, said: This anniversary is an opportunity for us to thank the more than 40,000 passengers who have taken the Quimper-London City route since it opened ten years ago. This connection, the only one from Finistère to the British capital, testifies to the attractiveness of our territory. We are delighted to celebrate today with British Airways.”

 

Removal of the vaccination pass for domestic flights

The main changes are:
•   For Hexagonal flights and Corsica
> Removal of the vaccination pass for passengers
> Lifting of the declaration of honour but maintaining the PLF/PLC traceability sheets
> Maintenance of the obligation to wear masks in aircraft (always from 6 years),
> Lifting of the obligation to wear a mask at French airports with the exception of passenger transfer vehicles (e.g. buses, shuttles, cars, etc.),

NB: For passengers arriving (connecting) from another country, the entry conditions of the country of final destination apply, and for passengers arriving (transit) from another country and arriving in France, the conditions are based on the classification of the country of departure.

Guaranteed evasion from Quimper

Quimper Airport is the only airport in Brittany to offer direct connections with fares contracted via Paris-Orly.
The partnership with Air France makes it possible to travel to all the destinations offered by Air France in Orly with a single ticket, from Quimper.
On the other hand, in order to further expand the range of destinations offered from Breton airport, Chalair has also been offering the same service since 1 October in partnership with Air Caraïbes and French Bee.
